I have Retro-Pie 3.7 installed on OSMC on my Pi3 and cannot get PSX games to launch. I have installed the relevant playstation BIOS file into the BIOS folder, however when I load a game up it doesn't start and just goes back to the PSX Rom menu. Just want to ask what is the best program/app to convert ps1/psx iso (with.cue file) to pkg? PSX to PKG Conversion? Of title id of your game Encrypt. I have a feeling it may have something to do with the games being in.7z format and also having a.cue file.I think that it is seeing the.cue file and is hence displaying the title but this obviously isn't the game so won't launch. I'm confused as to whether.7z are supported or not as any information I've found seems to be conflicting. N64 game on this setup also still have the 'black screen issue'. I could really use some help with PBP files. I have been trying and trying to get them to work (mostly for multi disk games) but can't seem to. I started off with with a pkg file that I believe is to run a ps1 game on a ps3. From that I was able to use 'PSN PKG Decryptor & Extractor' to extract a set of folders and files, including 'EBOOT.PBP'. I tried moving the EBOOT.PBP file to my roms/psx folder on RetroPie and, while I can see the file, when I try to open it the screen goes black for a second and then right back to retropie. The errors logged in runcommand.log are: block 1 is too large: unsupported/invalid CD image: /home/disks/retropie/roms/psx/EBOOT.PBP Does anyone know if these are the correct type of PBP files? I've tried to extract ISO's from them using icetea but that doesn't work either. That process takes a while and then ends up creating around a ~1kb file. Is there something I'm missing or that I should try? Not all games are compatible with this method (astute readers will notice I wrote the tutorial using the port of Alex Kidd as an example, which is in fact an incompatible one). This process therefore doesn't pay off with objective gains, however I prefer having as many titles packaged into a single file cleanly selectable in Webman 'PSN Liberator' by @'Rudi Rastelli' is supposed to automate this, however it didn't work for me (complaining at being unable to find a Klicensee or something), so. • Get the attached package and extract it! You will also need a hex editor, such as HxD. • Steal/acquire one or more.pkg files and, if needed, their associated.rap • Drag and drop the.pkg file on the PkgView program. • In PkgView, right click the root folder (named with the titleID of the application) and extract it (the 'to source folder' option saves in the same folder as the.pkg) • Meanwhile, rename the included NPUB00000 folder with the titleID. Close PkgView when you're done. • The result of the extraction will be a folder with the game's name, containing another with the titleID. How To Convert Psx Iso To Psp EbootEnter that one, where you'll see files and folders such as USRDIR and PIC0. Move everything, including but not limited to those 2 items, to the PS3_GAME subfolder of the one we just renamed. • Open PS3_DISC.SFB in a hex editor. At 0x220 you should see a titleID (with a dash in the middle): change it to our game's. Save and quit. Convert Iso To Ps3• Open the SELF resigner's folder. Copy the.rap, if you have one, in the 'raps' folder. Copy the game's EBOOT.BIN into the same folder as the resigner. Convert Ps3 Game To Pkg• Make sure the output method is set to '4.XX STD', then use function number 2 to convert PSN encryption to disc encryption. Some games may also need the conversion of further SELF executables, I can't help you there. • Close the resigner, and replace the game's EBOOT.BIN with the converted one. • Open the game's PARAM.SFO in an appropriate editor (the one included requires the Visual Basic 5 runtimes to be installed). • Change the 'Category' from HG to DG, save and quit • Drag the titleID folder over makeps3iso, wait for the packaging, then upload to dev_hdd0:/PS3ISO/ with your favorite method (Multiman split4g included for your convenience if said method is a FAT32 disk) • Hopefully, enjoy the game. Hi and welcome. You might have some PSN games installed on your PS3 HDD with CFW and you want them in the External Storage (for future booting using your favorite Backup Manager) to free some space. We’ll see how to convert PKG files of a PSN game into a folder bootable from External Storage (i.e: BLES-XXXXX folder) using Aldo’s PS3Tools. For the sake of the tutorial I’ll use PSN Crysis 1.
